10 week yoga course - for a new you in 2018

Our 10 week yoga course provides a comprehensive coverage of yoga postures, breathing, relaxation and meditation practices and is suitable for beginners or those with yoga experience.

You will learn how to develop strength, flexibility, mindfulness, mental and emotional balance and overall wellbeing in a safe and friendly community environment.

Price: $120.00 for the 10 week course. Please note due to our small-sized classes we do not give refunds once the course begins except in extenuating circumstances.

Classes run from 3 February - 7 April 2018, make-up classes during 10 week course are allowed – if you miss your class contact us to make it up with any of our other classes.

Christmas Break

We are taking a little yoga holiday.  Our last class will be Wednesday 20 December 2017 and we reopen on Monday 15 January 2018.  We would like to wish you a happy and safe Christmas full of love and laughter, and look forward to practicing with you in 2018.

Blow off the working week - like this...

Gentle Yoga: Saturday, 9.30 - 10.45am

A gentle yoga class featuring many floor-based poses and stretches and a few standing poses for strength and balance. Those with arthritis, an injury, other conditions, or who have preference for an easy pace and a gentle approach will find this modified practice boosts energy levels and an overall sense of well-being. We recommend a minimum of ten classes for new students, although you are welcome to stay in this class for as long as you like.

Chair Yoga

Torrens Community Yoga is offering free chair yoga to people who are are unable or choose not to practice yoga on a mat. Suitable for office workers, seniors or people with injuries and mobility issues.

This general chair yoga class runs until end Autumn and is suitable for beginners and those who have never practiced yoga.  It is an energising and strengthening class that can be modified to suit a range of conditions and injuries.

Free Frontline Yoga - 8am this Saturday

This weekly class is free to frontline workers: incl: police, firefighters, paramedics, Defence force members, medical professionals, RFS/SES volunteers and their supporters.  It will be taught with trauma sensitive guidelines and is suitable f…

This weekly class is free to frontline workers: incl: police, firefighters, paramedics, Defence force members, medical professionals, RFS/SES volunteers and their supporters.  It will be taught with trauma sensitive guidelines and is suitable for those with stress, anxiety and PTSD. The classes focus on developing mental and physical strength and are suitable for all levels including beginners.

Members of the public are very welcome to attend by donation, with 100 per cent of proceeds going to Frontline Yoga.

Yin Yoga Sound Bath & Kirtan 

Torrens Community Yoga is holding two special events in collaboration with Absolute Chanting (Vanessa and Steve). 

22 April 2017

Yin Yoga Sound Bath - 5:30pm $25 per ticket (NUMBERS STRICTLY LIMITED)
Kirtan - 7:00pm $30 per ticket

Yin Yoga Sound Bath- during this practice we combine gentle and restorative yin yoga poses with deep droning of the didgeridoo and Native American Flutes.  Join us for rest, rejuvenation, and transformation.  You need no previous experience with either yoga or sound healing.  

Kirtan - based on ancient chants, kirtan quietens the mind and soothes the soul.  Sit on the floor (or in one of the chairs available) and join Steve and Vanessa in an uplifting call and response practice.  As we chant together voices merge and when the music stops, the mind is quiet.

We are closed over Easter

Happy Easter!  A little reminder that we are taking a break over the Easter long weekend! Our Saturday class (15th April) and our Monday class (17th April) are cancelled.  Classes resume on Wednesday 19 April 2017
